How to support us

Donate cash

Donate online by Visa/Mastercard, add us to your list of beneficiaries on Internet Banking, set up a monthly debit order or make a direct deposit. Your generosity really does make all the difference.

Donate time

Come to our Home to help with routine admin and maintenance tasks, sort items for our charity shop, or share your skills in IT, sports or hobbies with children who have no families of their own.

Donate goods

Clothing, furniture, household appliances, linen, books and toys are always needed – if not by our children, then for our charity shop. We also appreciate food, sports equipment, paint and gardening supplies.

Order party platters from us

Delicious, freshly made platters of sandwiches, chicken, meat and vegetarian bites – ideal for any function.

Stay at our B & B

Cottage on the Curve is a safe, convenient and affordable accommodation option for visitors to Johannesburg.

Banish washday Blues

Our laundry service takes the hassle out of washing and drying blankets, bed linen and towels.

Sponsor a child or a cottage

By contributing to the annual costs of raising a particular child or maintaining an entire cottage at Johannesburg Children's Home, you'll make a lasting impact on our kids' lives ... and enjoy a very personal and long-term relationship with the Home.

Leave a legacy

Family and friends come first, of course. But after you have made provision for your nearest and dearest, you have a chance to make a difference to other children who have enjoyed none of the benefits of a stable family life, by including a bequest in your Will.

Get a MySchool Card

Apply online for a free MySchool Card with Johannesburg Children's Home as the beneficiary – our children will benefit every time you swipe the card at Woolworths and other participating retailers, and it won't cost you a cent extra!

Shop for goodies for our kids

Visit our virtual shop and pick out basic items needed by our children. These items may not seem like much of a treat, but our kids really appreciate having personal items like face clothis, soap, body lotion and deodorant of their own.

Fundraise for us

Run a marathon, climb a mountain, participate in a cycle race – and use the opportunity to raise funds for our kids from family and friends. Or ask friends to give to the Johannesburg Children's Home in lieu of a gift for your birthday or anniversary.

Community Service

Round up the staff – or everyone in your class – and come to our Home to paint a room, tidy the garden, or organise a sports day or a party. Working together to help bring a smile to less fortunate children helps nurture a spirit of unity and common purpose.
