Goodbye to two loyal stawarts of service
Two long-serving and much loved members of staff, Irene Mabuza and Sylvia Maqasa, recently left us to enjoy a well earned retirement.
In her twenty nine years of service, Irene saw countless hurt and frightened children blossom and grow in the nurturing and enouraging environment of which she was a part.
Along with her fellow worker, Sylvia Maqasa, who notched up seventeen and a half years with us, Irene spent most of her time in the laundry, making sure the children always had clean clothes and linen. She was also a skilled needlewoman who made alterations and sewed on missing buttons to keep school uniforms in pristine condition. Many of the girls learned to sew under her guidance. Both ladies will be dearly missed.[ Posted 24 July 2018 ]
