Therapy Programme

Every child that enters our doors has suffered trauma as a result of the abuse they have experienced. Our mission is to heal the harm and put the pieces back together.

The aim of our Therapy Programme is to improve a child’s sensory, physical, academic, social and emotional ability. A multi-disciplinary team, works together with our social work manager, social worker and nurse to ensure that each child’s needs are met holistically.

Trained therapists use play therapy and psycho-social counselling techniques to strengthen the child’s emotional wellbeing.

Therapy takes place during individual sessions – providing a safe environment in which children are able to express themselves freely, without fear. In this way, self-esteem is improved and healthy growth and development is encouraged.

In conjunction with this, our Occupational Therapist uses special activities designed to improve self-care, play and school activities. Contributions to children's therapy needs are always needed and gratefully received. Please click here to donate online.

"Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood,
for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child’s soul."
