During Child Protection Week, social workers organised activities and discussions aimed at helping our children understand their rights to safety and protection.
Using the theme, ‘Every Conversation Matters’, we encouraged communication around questions such as, “How are you feeling?”, “You are not alone,” and “Let’s talk”. An interactive puppet show helped convey concepts such as boundaries and mutual respect.
As part of the Siphamandla Programme, topics such as sexual health, resilience and substance abuse were discussed in age- appropriate ways, creating awareness and equipping children with valuable knowledge to help promote overall health and wellness.
