Christmas came early last year, with a party hosted by DGB on 21 November. The hall and outside area were transformed with festive decorations. Eats were provided by various food trucks – including an ice- cream truck and a sweet/candy floss stand. The children enjoyed music, dancing and face painting, and each received a goody bag, Christmas hat and a gift.
On 13 December, the children were treated to a lunch hosted by Help Feed a Child – and on Christmas Eve, Audi Rivonia did a drive by in Christmas-themed cars to drop off gifts. The children also had their own exciting Secret Santa gift swap, where they gave and received gifts.
Christmas Day was spent quietly at home – opening gifts provided by our generous donors, celebrating the holiday and sharing a spit braai, salads and pudding. Thank you to everyone who helped make it so special.
