One of the most important and bittersweet things we have to do at JCH is prepare our kids for the day they leave us.
As part of our independence- building efforts, children in several cottages learned to plan and prepare their own meals, manage their laundry and use public transport safely and confidently. They also learned how to budget.
While it took some time for them to adjust to these responsibilities, our older children now have the skills they need to manage in the big, wide world.
