Therapy Programme
Every child that enters our doors has suffered trauma as a result of the abuse they have experienced. Our mission is to heal the harm and put the pieces back together.
The aim of our Therapy Programme is to improve a child’s sensory, physical, academic, social and emotional ability. A multi-disciplinary team, works together with our social work manager and social worker to ensure that each child’s needs are met holistically.
Trained therapists use play therapy and psycho-social counselling techniques to strengthen a child’s emotional wellbeing.
Therapy takes place during individual sessions – providing a safe environment in which children are able to express themselves freely, without fear. In this way, self-esteem is improved and healthy growth and development is encouraged.
In conjunction with this, our programme uses special activities designed to improve self-care, play and school activities. Contributions to children’s therapy needs are always needed and gratefully received. Please click here to donate online.
