Leaving home is a major mile- stone for all kids. For those who have grown up in a children’s home, it can be even more daunting, leaving them feeling as if they have been cast adrift in the big wide world.
Our Aftercare Programme ensures that social workers continue to provide psycho- social support to help leavers navigate challenges in the ‘real world’.
This includes linking them with opportunities such as NSFAS funding for tertiary education, skills development programmes and employment opportunities.
Where appropriate, we facilitate family reunification processes, ensuring our young people are not left unsupported during this crucial transition phase.
