From the Managing Director’s Desk …

Firstly, I would like to wish a glorious and productive 2024 to the entire JCH community.

Last year was a turbulent one for our Home, with the untimely passing of our beloved Managing Director, Annette Brokensha. The wider community was affected by the stagnant global economy and the high unemployment rate.

So it is with heartfelt gratitude that I thank everyone who has continued to support our Home despite the challenges. You will be pleased to know that we received a clean audit again for the financial year 2022/23, and for this I thank the diligent support of our management team.

Looking ahead, we are hopeful and determined to make 2024 a successful year. We have many exciting new programmes and fundraising initiatives planned.

Thanks to our generous donors, all the children are back at school with everything they need to achieve academic and sporting success. Their wellbeing remains the cornerstone of our existence – thank you for contributing to that wellbeing.
